Role Summary
Based in Lebanon, VA, this role is responsible for the high-precision fabrication and repair of ASME code and non-code pressure vessels. The Welder must interpret complex blueprints and engineering specifications to perform various welding, cutting, and assembly operations within strict tolerances. Beyond technical tasks, the position requires a commitment to rigorous safety standards, preventative maintenance, and ISO system compliance.
Vessel Fabrication: Expertly assemble and weld heads, shells, and flanges using GMAW, plasma cutting, and carbon arc gouging equipment.
Technical Interpretation: Read and apply blueprints, job routings, and Standard Engineering Specifications to ensure all components meet exact tolerances.
Testing & Inspection: Perform magnetic particle, liquid dye penetrant, and visual testing inspections to verify the integrity of welds and materials.
Equipment Management: Conduct daily safety checks and preventative maintenance on machinery, including the operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
Operational Compliance: Maintain required weld certifications and document all fabrication practices in accordance with ISO quality standards and plant safety rules.
